Hey, I’m Bre. So nice to meet you 🤍

I’m a wedding and elopement photographer based on the Big Island of Hawai‘i, and I like to think of myself as a calming presence with just the right amount of hype-bestie energy when the moment calls for it. Especially once the dance floor opens.

I’m usually the one smiling behind the camera, helping things feel easy, and reminding you to just breathe and enjoy what’s actually happening. Your day should not feel like a photoshoot.

Most of my clients say the same thing afterward.
“That was way easier than I expected” or “how did that go by so fast?”

That’s always the goal.

I’ve been doing this for over 15 years, and what’s kept me here is pretty simple. I love people.

I love the in-between moments. The ones you do not even realize are happening. The quiet glances, the deep breaths, the nervous laughs, the “this is really happening” kind of feelings.

Capturing those moments and turning them into something you can come back to years from now is what I care about most.

I live on the Big Island of Hawai‘i with my husband Matt and our toddler boy, who has us completely wrapped around his tiny fingers.

When I’m not photographing weddings or elopements, I’m usually at home hanging out with my family, deep into a binge-worthy show, or having a board game night with friends. There is a good chance I’m also in the middle of a Dungeons and Dragons campaign because yes, I am a bit of a nerd and fully own it.

What I love most about photography is what happens after the day is over.

Years from now, I do not want you to remember me or how I posed you. I want you to look at your photos and feel everything all over again.

The laughter. The nerves. The way you looked at each other. The people who were there.

Your photos are one of the only things you actually get to keep to remember your wedding, engagement, or a special time in your life. They become part of your story. Something you can hold onto, revisit, and share with your family for years to come.

Living and working as a photographer on the Big Island means I know how to navigate permits, locations, and timing so your experience feels seamless. Whether we are hiking somewhere adventurous, exploring a quiet beach at sunrise, or catching that unreal Big Island sunset, I will help guide you every step of the way without making anything feel forced.

I am mostly hands-off during your wedding day so you can stay present and actually enjoy it. During couples photos, I will lightly guide you to help you feel comfortable while still keeping everything natural and true to you.

And yes, I will absolutely shed a few tears during your vows or heartfelt speeches. It happens every time.

If you are looking for a Big Island wedding or elopement photographer who will keep things relaxed, real, and actually fun, you are in the right place.

Let’s do this.

xoxo,
Bre
